SWB officially impressed B112706 to Private Percy Wilkin, 3rd Garrison Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers. An unmarked silver circlet inscribed 'For King And Empire Services Rendered' bearing crowned 'GRI' Imperial Cypher to voided centre. In good condition, very dark toned, with original C clasp and pin. Circa 32mm in diameter. Copy of CD version of SWB roll entry and copy of WW1 Medal Index Card (MIC) to be supplied.

62609 Pte Percy Wilkin, enlisted on the 9th September 1914 and was discharged on the 2nd February 1919 due to sickness, aged 32. His MIC confirms he did serve overseas and was entitled to a 1914-15 Trio for prior service with the RWF, entering France on 5th September 1915 (as Pte No 14553, RWF). His Medals would have been issued to him as a Royal Welsh Fusilier.

the 3rd (Home Service) Garrison Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers was raised at Sunderland, County Durham on 1st April 1916. Disbanded in Ireland on 24th June 1919.

Approximately 1,150,000 badges were issued to all services, which had to be claimed and then approved.
