Edwardian South African Constabulary Large White Metal Slouch Hat Cap Badge with Original Yellow Patent Leather Backing

A large unvoided white metal slouch hat badge of the South African Constabulary, worn 1902-1908, with its original yellow patent leather disc backing (I have only seen a similar one with a green backing before). In very good condition, but some age wear to backing paint and leather. Circa 57.5 mm (w) x 67.2 mm (h), both original dark toned lugs intact.
