Right facing bugle, die struck, white metal with two original brass lugs to the reverse. Circa 2.8cm wide and 2.6cm tall. In very good condition with sharp detail. Worn by a number of militia and volunteer units, but early and scarce.

6th (Territorial) Battalion, The East Surrey Regiment Other Ranks Blackened Brass Cap Badge
A fairly large badge at circa 4.7cms across, with original slider and some service wear to the black finish, giving it an attractive patina. "South Africa" and "1900 - 1902" to the arms of the cross. In very good condition.

A good worn example with scroll "South Africa 1900 - 02" below, two original loops and three sweat/ braising/ expansion holes to the reverse. Blank seeded tablet below the sphinx. The white metal overlays appear to have been silver plated. Most probably an officer's cap badge. A cracker!
