An attractive die stamped silvered copper glengarry badge, 6cm tall and 4.7cm wide. Two lugs to the reverse (east-west) with slightly flattened tops presumably to ease wear. Cut down from the shoulder epaulettes and edged with a white border. Heavily woven white on scarlet, some edge wear removed from uniform. Each circa 4.5cm square. One of which (the forward facing one may have been worn on the sun helmet pagri cloth). Rare.

The reference to Buckinghamshire was not added until 1908.

A one piece right facing shoulder title to the 4th Territorial Bn. Oxs & Bucks L. I. with 2 of 3 original lugs to the reverse. Circa 3.2cm tall and 4cm wide. In reasonable condition (one lug missing to top) with some verdigris, mainly to the reverse. Cotter pin is tightly fitted into the lugs, so I have not attempted to remove it.

Ox & Bucks Light Infantry Brass Matched Facing Pair of 2 Piece Shoulder Titles

Pair of early pattern brass two-piece shoulder titles, " Bugle / Oxford." Worn from 1907 by other ranks and retained by the 2nd Battalion until 1914, whereas the 1st Battalion wore a different pattern (Westlake 1177) from 1908 (see also my item 60807). A matched facing pair, with all fittings present and correct (one top lug on one bugle slightly squashed but functional).
