Victorian Durham Light Infantry Volunteer / Militia Battalion Silver Plated Officers Collar Badge
Left facing bugle, die struck, silver plated (unmarked) with two original dark toned lugs to the reverse. Circa 2.8cm wide and 2.8cm tall. Some twisting to lugs but otherwise in very good condition with sharp detail. Worn by VB DLI officers, but also alleged to have been worn by Durham Militia Battalion officers by a noted DLI collector. Scarce.

2nd Volunteer Battalion East Kent Regiment NCO 's Pouch Badge, 1880 - 1883
Bi Metal die struck two part construction pouch or shoulder belt plate badge in blackened brass and white metal. Two original screw posts to the reverse and an oval disc with the maker's details Hobson & Son, 13 & 5 Lexington Street, London W. There is minor service wear and the bottom left securing weld of the centre has lifted, but it does not detract. Scarce item.

4th Durham Rifle Volunteers Other Ranks Helmet , circa 1880 - 1887
A scarce maltese cross pattern blackened helmet plate with three original lugs to the reverse. Would have been worn with a red velvet backing cloth. In very good condition, only obvious defect being a slight twisting to one edge of the cross arm on the left closest to crown (see final photo), but now I am being picky! Scarce.

Voided variety, with good detail. Worn circa 1870s - 1881. In 1881, by the Royal South Wales Borderers Militia ( Royal Radnor nad Brecknock Rifles ) it was redesignated as the 3rd (Militia) Battalion, South Wales Borderers. Circa 7.8cm tall with two original lugs to the reverse.
