The circular design of the quoit or chakran is a traditional Sikh motif, and this pattern was worn post 1922 by the 3rd Battalion ( Rattrays ) - originally the Bengal Military Police Battalion, formed in 1856.  read more

Small crack line to right of elephant's ear, possible a die flaw, but this does not go through the badge. Indian made in unmarked silver and of special super quality. A stunner!
