Hallmarked Silver Cigarette Case - Northumberland Fusiliers

Attractively engraved, "J.McD" in top corner, 1st Battalion 5th Fusiliers and has a scroll listing the Northumberland Fusiliers battle honours up to and including the WW1. The reverse is engraved "Cologne Germany1923".

Clasp still functional and closes tight with original retaining straps to the inside. Gilt finish to inside with hallmarks for Birmingham date letter b for 1901, so made much earlier than the engraving. Dings and bashes, commensurate with a well loved item, but could still be used today if you were so minded.
