An early and scarce brass badge. Note the motto "CUIDICH'N RHI". Major Parkyn's book "Shoulder belt plates and Buttons" (p288) states " For many years the motto was spelt "RHI" and was amended to the correct spelling in 1869... being "RIGH", predating this badge to 1869. With two loops to the reverse (east-west). K&K no 545 refers.
