Scarce Boer War vintage Victorian Yorkshire Regiment ( Green Howard's )Undress Other Ranks Field Service / Side Cap - dated 1898

In lovely condition with no moth or damage or pen marks. With original Victorian pattern Green Howards Yorkshire Regiment Cap Badge with two original dark toned loops the reverse and two sweat / braising holes. Given the black cloth colour I believe this is a undress cap. Internal War Department white painted WD with central arrow and date 1898. Service wear to inside rim, with a few small holes in the inside lining, otherwise superb for age. This was apparently worn by No 1319 Edward Henderson of the Yorkshire Regiment, but there is no attribution in cap. He served in South Africa until later in 1902.

Regret I will not post to North America on account of textile import restrictions.
