A very good example of an ARP Women's Voluntary Services chromium plated badge inlaid with red enamel, the reverse with maker's details H.B.Sale B'Ham. Very good clean condition, retaining original pin fittings. Enamel in very good condition. Circa 2.9cm tall.

The 'Women's Voluntary Service for Air Raid Precautions' was established in 1938, their title was amended to the 'Women's Voluntary Service for Civil Defence' in February 1939, becoming the 'Women's Royal Voluntary Services' in 1966.
