Sailor of HMS Maidstone ( 1912 ) plus additional photo of his very attractive sweetheart!

Original WW1 photo postcard of a sailor from HMS Maidstone. This is particularly unusual as he appears to have posted a small image of his sweetheart to the reverse. Postally unused with minor edge creasing / bumps. Two for the price of one!

Built on the Clyde and launched in 1912, HMS Maidstone was a Submarine Depot Ship which provided an HQ and supplies for a submarine flotilla between missions. She was sold for scrapping in 1929.
