S.A.L.H. South African Light Horse Boer War Period Brass Slouch Hat Badge

A scarce sheet brass Boer War slouch hat badge with two original wire loops to the reverse as worn by the South African Light Horse. A Maltese cross with the date 1899 to the centre. Appears to be have been gilded. Lovely item.
