Eversleigh Stars - Full Dress and OSD Versions Rank Stars unique to South Wales Borderers / Middlesex Regiments

Initially adopted by officers of the South Wales Borderers (SWB )and subsequently by officers of the Middlesex Regiment from the late 1920s. A special design of the Order of the Bath Star with the motto Ich Dien below. Fabulous quality, especially the full gilt and enamel version, both of two part construction with two original lugs to the reverse and the gilt one maker marked JG Gaunt London. The tradition is kept alive today as worn in anodised aluminium format by Officers of the Queen's Regiment and also by the Prince of Wales' Royal Regiment (PWRR).
