Early Issue 18th ( Queen Mary's Own ) Hussars Other Ranks White Metal Cap Badge

Die struck other rank 's cap badge comprising a circlet in white metal inscribed ' Queen Mary's Own ' surmounted by an Imperial Crown. In the centre the Roman numerals XVIII with two original loops (e-w). Circa 4cm tall (the collar badges were circa 3.5cm tall). In very good condition.

Worn 1910 when King George V and Queen Mary took to the Throne. It would have been replaced by a slidered version prior to WW1. Scarce.
