Scottish Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders Victorian Officer's Lady's Night Mess Dress / Evening Wear Belt with Clasp

A very attractive early fire gilt filigree belt buckle with facing and matching Officer's OSD bronze collar badges adapted for mounting on the buckle. Cats with tails up so of Victorian vintage. Circa 26 inches long measured from end to end including buckle so would fit a slim waist. Buckle is sewn to an original length of woven decorative gold coloured laurel leave pattern brocade. This has some dulling from age but still in good condition and still fully functional and wearable, and as worn at Levées and regimental balls.
