The Welsh Regiment FIRST PATTERN Bi-Metal Helmet Plate Centre (HPC)

With three original loops (longer central loop removed, some squeezing to the others) otherwise in very good condition. Worn 1881 - 1902 on the Helmet Plate Centre and, until 1895, on the Glengarry.

There is a variation in the welsh spelling on the motto scroll between the first pattern and the later second pattern worn from 1902 - 1914. The first pattern the spelling is "na" and in the later second pattern this word is spelt "neu". This is the NA version.
