T / 4 / 5 BW - Dundee & Angus Battalion) Black Watch One Piece Brass Shoulder Title

The Black Watch used RH (Royal Highlanders) in their shoulder titles until 1921 before adopting BW. The City of Dundee (4th Bn) and the Dundee & Angus (5th Bn) were amalgamated in 1921 to become 4th/5th Dundee & Angus Battalion (Territorial Force), Black Watch. It reverted to being styled as the 4th Bn in 1939. A scarce title, with two original hexagonal lugs to the reverse. A small item at only circa 3.6cm tall. A sans serif T ( similar in style to the T / 7/9th Royal Scots shoulder title listed by Westlake as item 728). This particular shoulder title is mentioned in Westlake on page 101 but is not illustrated. I have only seen one other, and that without the T. In good condition. Looks to have been cleaned recently. Scarce.
