The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) (42nd & 73rd Foot) - Victorian Issue Lacesset Spelling

A good stiff white metal badge with two original dark toned loops to the reverse. Victorian crown and sharp detail. Nicely shaped to fit TOS. This version with the motto spelling "Lacesset" as opposed to the alternative version found "Lacessit". As is the case with all Black Watch badges there appears to be an inability to settle on the correct spelling of this word in the motto. Worn until 1902.
