The East Riding of Yorkshire Yeomanry ( Lancers ) Officers Gilt Metal Badge

This is a gilt die struck metal badge with two original loops to the reverse. Appears to be of officer's quality. I believe this to be a collar badge but apparently also worn as a shoulder title.

Raised in 1903, until 1920 this is the first pattern badge for which the design chosen was simply a funning fox, after which time a white metal scroll was added with the Word ' Forrard ', from the hunting term ' Hark Forrard '.
