Group of five, mint in box of issue, four still with medal envelopes, and ribbons as supplied and never applied to the medals. They comprise 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Italy Star, Defence and War Medals, all unnamed as issued. Very posh address: 47 Queen Anne Street, Cavendish Square, London, W1. Reverse of box marked as War Office, A.G. 4, Droitwich, Worcs.

"In 1941 he had joined the Army as honorary lieutenant colonel RAMC and saw service in North Africa and Greece; from 1943-45 he was officer commanding a medical division, 97th General Hospital. His colleagues, his juniors, and especially his patients never failed to praise his devotion to duty and the dedicated service he gave. "
