Victorian Suffolk Regiment Brass Metal Side Cap Badge, Regular Battalions

This, together with the item listed below, is a real oddity. It appears to be an Other Ranks HPC device die struck in white metal with two original lugs to the reverse. It is not a collar badge as far as I can determine (not listed in Churchill) so I can only presume they are NCO issue for wear in the side or forage cap. It shows no sign of having been removed from the Helmet Plate Centre; the lugs are original and not in place of any other fittings. Circa 2.5cm wide and 2.4cm tall. Any information welcome.
