WW2 Sudan Auxiliary Defence Force (SADF) Officers Cap Badge

A die cast unmarked silver cap badge with original pin fitting but sadly missing its C clasp fixing, otherwise in very good condition.

A volunteer reserve force raised on the eve of WW2 to assist local defence. Its roll included an anti-aircraft unit in Khartoum.

Barry Renfrew el al, Vol 1 No 1265 refers for a picture of the brass version but please note correction in Vol 2 p184 which corrects the description and date line (thanks to Barry himself for pointing this out!)
