Malayan (subsequently Malaysian) Air Training Corps (MATC) Brass Cap Badge

First pattern brass badge, with two original loops to the reverse. In very good condition. Formed in 1947 on the UK model of the ATC. Scarce badge. A second pattern, without the 'M' on the tablet being clutched by the eagle was made in the 1960s in silver anodised aluminium. Disbanded 1965.

The photo of the group of cadets shows Charles Jordan middle back Malaysian Air Training Corps at Kallang Airport (same Spitfire as later displayed in RAF Changi Camp, Singapore). Taken circa late 1950s. The photo is not for sale with this lot.
