British Guiana Volunteer Force Brass Cap Badge, Kings Crown
A large die stamped brass example, worn circa 1948-1966. Two original loops to the reverse. Also a brass strengthening plate applied to the reverse of crown, a feature which I have observed on at least three other examples of this badge. Circa 5.8cm tall. Scarce.
Renfrew et al, Vol 1 No 122 refers.
British Guiana was a British colony, part of the mainland British West Indies, which resides on the northern coast of South America. Since 1966 it has been known as the independent nation of Guyana.
