WW2 Home Front - WVS Embroidered Uniform Badge

Removed from uniform, a good original Second World War period Women's Voluntary Service felt cloth uniform badg'e maroon silk embroidered Crowned 'W.V.S Civil Defence' on grey felt cloth backing. Very good clean condition. Circa 6.4 cms tall.

The embroidered WVS Civil Defence badge was worn on the lower right sleeve of the tweed jacket and overcoat and the left breast of the dress.
