WW1 Home Front Birmingham Special Constabulary 1916 Bronze Cap Badge

A large scarce bronze pin back badge with issue number 4417. In excellent condition.

Wilkinson & Cowdell "Special Constabulary Insignia of England & Wales" (2nd Edn) p10 refers and Figure 1 therein shows this badge being worn as a Cap Badge during WW1.
