Victorian Hampshire Regiment Officers Silver Pagri Badge

A superb and rare officer's die cast silver pagri badge with functional pin fittings to the reverse. 'HR' mongram interwoven with a Hampshire rose below and surmounted by a flat topped Queen Victoria imperial crown above. Circa 6.7cms tall. Great condition although the pin is possibly a replacement as I would have expected to find a stouter pin than the one fitted. Otherwise simply stunning.

Woods claims worn by 2nd Battalion officers in India. (Its manufacture looks to be to good to be Indian Mess servants badge).
