East Surrey Regiment Brass Helmet Plate Centre (HPC)

Brass other ranks Home Service helmet plate centre with four staple style loops to the reverse, brass dark toned. The arms of the city Guildford to the centre of a circlet bearing the title, " East Surrey". Designed to be worn with the universal pattern helmet plate 1881 - 1914 as the Helmet Plate Centre and on the Glengarry until 1895, usually with a separate brass QVC crown above. Some minor service wear and fitted with a red cloth coloured backing.
