WW1 Auxiliary AVC (Army Veterinary Corps) RSPCA For Sick and Wounded Horses Enamel Pin Brooch Lapel Badge

A scarce original First World War period gilt and enamel badge, the centre depicting a horses head within a Crowned circular title 'For Sick And Wounded Horses' this resting on a scrolls 'RSPCA Auxiliary A.V.C'.

In very good condition except the original pin has been snapped. C clasp still present and capable of easy repair. Maker marked JR Gaunt & Son London. Enamel in undamaged condition.
