4th Battalion (TF) The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) Blackened Brass Cap Badge - Repaired

A rare badge, much reproduced. This has two original loops, blackened brass (despite K&K claiming it was bronze), the tail does not join the main body and there is no strange lump to the reverse of the letters as found on the copies. Thinly struck, perhaps accounting for the damage to the dragon's head which appears to have been strengthened / reattached neatly with a blob of solder. Whilst the condition of the damage to the head is reflected in the price, it still displays well and is a hard badge to find. The scroll below the dragon is "4th Bn The Buffs".
