The Welsh Brigade Officers Silver Bullion Thread Embroidered Cap Badge - Gaunt

Silver bullion thread and white silk threads emboidered on a black melton cloth backing. Paper backing missing and glue and paper stuck to reverse otherwise in very good condition. Circa 4.4cms tall including backing.

The Welsh Brigade was formed in 1958 and brought together in a brigade structure with this new cap badge three famous infantry regiments from Wales: the Royal Welch Fusiliers, the South Wales Borderers, and the Welch Regiment. The Brigade structure and badge was discarded in 1970.
