Brigadiers Rank Slide Royal Welsh Fusiliers (RWF) - Brigadier Charles Hince

Brigadier's Rank Slide embroidered with the letters in black with the letters RWF (Royal Welsh Fusiliers). According to the owner of this item (a noted historian of the regiment), this was specially made for Brigadier Charles Hince. The slide has not been sealed at the back and has some glue and paper stuck to the reverse, otherwise in very good condition and rare.

Brigadier is not considered to be a General officer rank by the British Army but rather a Field officer rank.
Brigadiers can command a brigade or be a director of operational capability groups such as a director of staff.

Brigadier Charles Hince. CBE, (late the Sherwood Foresters and Royal Welch Fusiliers) died 16th September 2012 aged 82.
