The Wiltshire Regiment Officers Silver and Gilt Small Field Service Cap Badge, pre 1954

Of two part construction with two original long (13mm) copper lugs. The cross is silver marked with the letter "(S)" and maker marked JR Gaunt London. Silver dark toned, gilt a little dull, but in very good condition.

As per Churchill No 1504 which is shown as worn as a collar badge as worn until 1954, but the lugs on the collars were circa 8mm long. An identical badge was worn by officers in the cap but these had longer lugs of 13mm in length.
