The Wiltshire Regiment Officers Silver and Gilt Small Field Service Cap Badge, post 1954

A good scarce post 1954 die cast unmarked silver plated example with two original silvered long (13mm) lugs to the reverse with applied gilt Duke of Edinburgh's cypher. Silver bright, but with some wear to the plate finish otherwise in good condition.

As per Churchill No 1505 which is shown as worn as a collar badge from 1954 until amalgamation, but the lugs on the collars were circa 8mm long. An identical badge was worn by officers in the cap but these had longer lugs of 13mm in length.
