1st battalion Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) Piper's White Metal Badge
A large badge at circa 6cms (2 inches and three eighths) tall with three original loops to the reverse. Some spotting to white metal finish and service wear to lugs.
John Gaylor's Military Badge Collecting page 107 (shown on Plate 26) states that the Mullet of the Douglas family arms looms large in the badge worn by the pipers of the 1st Battalion The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). He confirms the badge was two-and-three-eighths inches high and was worn 1921-1968 (A smaller pattern was worn from 1860-1921).
