WW1 Borough of Burnley Gilt and Enamel Special Constable Constabulary Police Mufti Lapel Buttonhole Badge

A large badge with original horseshoe fitting, gilt bright (a few small age spots), enamel intact and in very good condition. Maker marked Fattorini & Sons, Bradford House, Birmingham to reverse. Circa 43mm tall. Blue ring enamel variety. Examples with green and red enamel rings are known, perhaps signifying different ranks. Scarce.
