WW1 Home Front Essex Volunteer Regiment VTC Brass Cap Badge

A First World War King's Crown flat-backed brass cap badge for the Essex Volunteer Regiment VTC. Named to Meggy, Thompson & Creasey, Chelmsford. In good condition, some minor staining, but complete with original lugs (some slight bending).

"Meggy, Thompson and Creasey" were not actually a manufacturer's name but allegedly a Newspaper Publisher, perhaps they paid for the badges to be made.
