Kimbolton Grammar School (Huntingdonshire) Cadet Corps Brass Gilding Metal Cap Badge
In good overall condition, with a small original brass slider, some twisting to this and two holes for sewing into hat otherwise in good condition.
This badge design was worn in gilding metal by the Kimbolton School cadets, the Huntingdon Cyclist Battalion in WW1 and by the Huntingdon Home Guard in WW2. It is my understanding that the cyclists' badge's slider was attached higher up on the stags head and that the WW2 Home Guard versions were maker named JR Gaunt London. So by a process of elimination, this must be the Cadet version. Happy to be corrected.
