16th Regiment of Foot (Bedfordshire) Other Ranks Second Pattern Pre 1881 Glengarry Cap Badge

A die struck yellow brass pre territorial second pattern glengarry badge with two original east - west brass loops to the reverse. A thickly struck badge with no damage and good detail. The numeral 16 in the centre of a crowned wreath superimposed on a Maltese cross. Worn until 1881 having replaced by the larger and more extensively detailed example (No 444). In good condition. K&K Vol No 1 No 445 refers.
