Indian Army - 49th Bengalis Bengal Infantry Officer's Silver Marked Cap Badge

A scarce officer's silver die cast cap badge with two original silver loops to the reverse and stamped silver & with manufacturers initials "B S". A Heavy quality example in superb condition.

The Regiment was a Great War raised unit 1916-1920, the only all Bengali volunteer regiment of the educated professional class, all volunteers. Served in Mesopotamia.
