Indian Army - 9th Gurkha Rifles Officer's White Metal Wolesley White Helmet Badge

A large 9th Gurkha Rifles British officer's Wolseley helmet badge worn in the 1930s on the white helmet with original pin fittings and stamped 'sterling'. Circa 44mm tall and 54mm wide. Both the examples of this badge in the Gurkha Museum are similar in look and dimensions and are also stamped "STERLING". The mark may be spurious. It looks to be of contemporary manufacture, but looks Indian made and in a lower quality silver. Sold as being white metal, and therefore "sold as seen".
