Royal Corps of Transport (RCT) Full Dress Band Shako Helmet Plate

A large and impressive band badge as worn on a specially designed band shako (similar to those of the 1860s) and worn 1974 - 1993. EIIR to centre, with three of three original loops to the reverse. Circa 9.7cms tall. It looks really well made but is actually silver paint over a chrome star (slight darkening to silver paint finish on the star ray tips) otherwise in superb condition with no damage to the enamel blue enamel circlet or the red backing plate (red enamel paint on a brass plate). Worn from 1974 - 1994.
Fabulous looking badge.
