Pair of Original Edwardian Mounted Portrait Photographs - One hand coloured - Major R. Allenby, J.P. (York)

A pair of photos, look like wedding photos, the hand tinted one with the name Major R. Allenby 1910. The lady, rather a grand dame, in her wedding outfit, unidentified and unnamed. Some foxing and staining to mounts but images in great condition.

Major R. Allenby J.P. was a magistrate of note in the city of York. Of his two sons, one was killed in WW1 as a Lt Col Augustus Heathcote Allenby commanding the 7th Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers (KAI 7th August 1915) and the other served as an Admiral, Reginald Arthur Allenby, M.V.O, D.S.O. Internet research to be included, mainly relating to his sons.
