WW1 City of London National Guard Volunteer VTC badge

A good original First World War period 'Volunteer Training Corps badge' gilt brass blue enamel circlet bearing the initials 'C.L.N.G.V.' mounted to the centre a bronzed 'City of London Coat of Arms' with motto scroll 'Domine Dirige Nos' (O Lord Direct us); the reverse impressed twice with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt & Son London'. Very good condition, original buttonhole, enamel intact. Circa 24mm in diameter.
