WW1 Original Photograph - Formation SIgns indicating he served with the 16th (Service Battalion) Northumberland Fusiliers

Postally unused, UK postcard. Insignia would have been in red felt and reflects the badge worn by the 16th Service Battalion raised by the Newcastle and Gateshead Chamber of Commerce as the "Newcastle Commercials". The metal badge is just discernable and looks like the generic brass grenade above a separate 'NF' below but the image is not clear and has sharp as it could be. Card is in very good condition. See photo of insignia as depicted on the front of the regimental history. Sadly unable to identify the soldier in question.
