2GR 2nd King Edward VII's Own Gurkha Rifles (The Simoor Rifles) Officer's Unique Regimental Pattern Whistle Boss and Chain

As worn on the shoulder belt, chain absent its whistle and keep. The Rams head whistle boss has its two fixing nuts to the reverse but appears to be on the incorrect backing disc. The correct pattern should have the words 'Simoor Rifles' on the the circlet, whereas this is mounted on the the universal pattern with decorative ornate scrolls and leaves. However, the the rams head on the disc appears to have been on it some time as the shape it has left on the underlying metal is clearly visible. Some wear to the silver plate on the 3D Rams head and horns. Sold as seen, no returns on this item.
