Idar State, was a princely state in present-day Gujarat, India. The badge's design and name honor Sir Pratap Singh (1845–1922), who served as the Maharaja of Idar from 1902 to 1911 and was a distinguished officer in the British Indian Army, who despite his age also served in WW1.
