WW2 Royal Navy - WRNS Cap Tally
Removed from cap, some fading and evidence of having been stitched to the cap, the tiddly bow replaced by a cockade as worn by members of the Women's Royal Naval Service with the typical upright Wren's tail to the top of cockade. In quite worn condition.
For security reasons during World War 2 all Royal Navy sailors and Wrens wore just H.M.S. (His Majesty's Ship) on their cap tally.
Final photo of WRN - compliments of New Zealand's Torpedo Bay Navy Musuem.
