WW2 Theatre Made United States 5th Army Formation Sign Arm Badge Patch Flash Designation

An attractively made silver bullion embroidered thread example, removed from uniform, most probably made in North Africa or Italy. Has age to it but also a real quality. Worn by the 509th Parachute Infantry Battalion (PIB) during the Italian campaign and also worn by 'P' Battery of the 17th Medium Regiment Royal Artillery as an honour bestowed on them for its valiant support to U.S. Infantry during the Italian campaign.
