WW2 Royal Air Force (RAF) Pilots Qualification Deeply Padded Wing, Kings Crown

Removed from uniform, a fully padded embroidered and shaped wing. Some loss of black felt on the left hand tip which gives it a slightly unbalanced look, but thread of wing itself still present. The "RAF" monogram within a brown wreath of laurel surmounted by the crown and flanked by a pair of oatmeal coloured down-swept wings.

Royal Air Force RAF Senior Officer's (Air Rank) Bullion and Gilt Metal Cap Badge - QEII issue

Removed from cap, an early 1950s-60s example, sadly one prong has detached from the eagle but is still present in the cap, the eagle flying slightly loose on one side as a result, but still held reasonably tightly by the other and displays well. I have taken the eagle out and at some point both tabs have been repaired at some time, but one of these repairs has now failed. Some dulling to gold...  read more

Royal Air Force RAF Medical Branch Officer's 1918 Pattern Bronze collar badge

A good scarce die cast bronze example on original loops (some slight twisting to these). Crowned laurel wreath on “Nec Aspera Terrent” scroll; rod and serpent of Aesculapius (the Greek God of Medicine) to voided centre.

AMWO 1217/18 of 10th October introduced this pattern which was shortly superseded by the usual winged pattern still in use today.
